Homeschool Round-Up: Tips, Tools, and More!

Hello Reader,

As we wrap up January, it’s been such a joy reflecting on the lessons and resources shared this month. I love gathering my favorite resources, tips, and tools to make homeschooling a little easier for you. Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been homeschooling for years, there’s always something new to explore.

Winter always reminded me of cozy learning days with my kids. While my own homeschooling days are behind me, my heart is to encourage and equip you with tools and ideas to make this season of homeschooling rewarding and manageable. Let’s take a look back at some of this month’s highlights!

Here’s what I’ve rounded up for you this month:

Winter Play Dough Mats for Littles

These printable mats are a hit for sensory play and early learning fun. Perfect for keeping little hands busy while sneaking in some creative learning!

Lapbooks

Lapbooks are one of my favorite ways to make learning engaging, hands-on, and meaningful for kids of all ages. I'm particularly fond of using them for Elementary science.

Whether you have a curious kindergartener or an independent fifth grader, lapbooks can be adapted to fit any age, any subject, and any learning style.

Is Your Curriculum the Master of Your Homeschool?

This post really struck a chord with so many of you this month! It’s a reminder that curriculum is a tool—not the boss.

Streamline lesson planning in 10 minutes a week!

When I was homeschooling, I found setting aside just a few minutes on Sundays to plan for the week ahead saved so much time and stress. Focusing on one main theme or goal kept our learning intentional and enjoyable.

Family Worship Night

This week, spend an evening together worshiping God through music, prayer, and Scripture reading. Get the whole family involved!

I hope these resources inspire and encourage you as you head into the next month of your homeschool journey.
